Coleman Wins Range Golf Championship

Local golfer Denis Coleman made headlines at his neighborhood driving range after hitting an astounding number of golf balls at the range of Sugeen Golf Club this year. Coleman, a self-proclaimed amateur, became a regular fixture at the range, determined to perfect his swing. However, after hundreds of buckets and thousands of swings with no sign of improvement, the range staff decided to step in.

In a lighthearted moment, they awarded Denis a "Sympathy Trophy" for his sheer determination and unwavering persistence. The trophy, humorously engraved with "Most Balls Hit with Least Improvement," was met with laughter from both staff and fellow golfers.

Head Pro Arron Brush said “I learn something about golf every day. I thought it not possible that so many hits would not show at least some detectable sign of improvement.”

In his acceptance speech, Coleman said “I am delighted to accept this uh-uh honour. I want to thank the range staff - I know how much work it is to pick up those golf balls, even if they did not go very far.”
