Volunteer
Experience a sense of community, camaraderie, and accomplishment.
The Marine Heritage Society thrive thanks to the dedicated efforts of our entirely volunteer-driven team.
Each year, over 125 individuals generously donate their time, contributing to our shared mission.
So, jump on board! Your commitment level is entirely flexible, ranging from a few hours to half or full days, depending on your availability.
Members come from many backgrounds, bringing a range of skills and talents to the table. Whether you're a tradesperson, hobbyist, or simply amenable to lending a helping hand, we’d love to hear from you!
With a wide array of facilities and activities, there's no shortage of ways to get involved and perhaps learn something new. From boating and guiding to gardening, fixing, painting, crafting, researching, writing, fundraising, and promoting – whatever the interest, there's a place for you. If health and safety training is required, we arrange that also.
And while ‘many hands make light work’ – we also know how to throw a good party! MHS members enjoy Wednesday Afternoon Socials, potluck dinners, volunteer appreciation nights, the Annual General Meeting (including virtually), and more.
To discuss volunteering, visit our Tour Base, drop by a Wednesday Afternoon Social, or contact us at 519-797-5862 or info@chantryisland.com. Alternatively submit the form below to join the MHS Volunteer Database, specify areas of interest (optional), and get onto our email list for volunteer opportunities and MHS updates (optional).
Drop anchor with MHS, make new friends, and be part of something special!
