Range Light Restoration

The Saugeen River Front Range Light has taken on a significant amount of damage due to high water levels, wind and especially waves.

The Town of Saugeen Shores is working with the Municipal Heritage Committee in making sure that the restoration will follow the rules that go with the Historical Designation.

Thanks to Derrick Seaman and his staff from Seaman & Sons Builders who have secured the west side of the Range Light to help protect it for the winter. The restoration work to be done will be to replace the plywood, cedar shingles, window, door repair, ventilation and paint. The work is estimated to cost between $75,000 and $100,000.
