The Propeller Club

The Propeller Club meets every Wednesday at the Walker House.   It is a very informal group.  In fact it has no form at all.  A meeting never breaks out.  It is best described as the volunteer arm of the Marine Heritage Society.  In truth it does much good for the community.  Pioneer Park is a jewel of the community.  Here are its bylaws:

  1. If you come once, you're a life member.

  2. If you don't come again, we make you president.

  3. Avoid at all costs having your name on the Propeller Club trophy in black.

  4. Talk about anything as loud as possible.

  5. Be sure to talk at the same time somebody else is talking.

  6. Be a fanatic on something.  When you come, start talking immediately and begin in the middle of some muddled thought.

  7. Avoid listening excessively to other members tall tales.

  8. Bring something for "show and yell".

  9. Try to sell something to the fellow members more than once per year.  E.g. last year's plum cake, subscriptions to some obscure journal, tickets to an event that will never happen.... or better yet already has.

  10. Bring your relatives or friends when they come to visit.   Try to infect them.  Chidren are especially welcome.
