Peerless Pulls Our Small Barge

The Peerless pulls the small raft that we used as a barge to take loads of sand and stone out to Chantry Island.  The small tower in the middle of the barge was used to lower a "wet anchor" near the Island.  It was also handy for anchoring timber during transport.  The load above shows five stones, one of 750 lbs. and the others 250 lbs.  You will note a small 6 HP engine on the rear of the barge.  This was used to "beach" the raft.
