The Makeshift Dock

The dock was a make do early attempt to afford a safe way to unload from our small barge

or from the boasts that we used.  Storms over the late fall caused a lot of trouble.  As you can

see here we were now faced with ice as we tried to finish the roof in December, 1999.  Sometimes

the footing was very bad and attempts to unload were dangerous with the heavy cargo.
