Herring Gull

Although the name "Sea Gull" has no officital staturs, it has wide use and the Herring Gull because of its size and wide range most often is known by it.  These Gulls appear in great numbers on Chantry Island.  It nests on Chantry and winters on the southern Great Lakes and the St. Lawrence River and along the Atlantic Coast.
