Chantry Island Keeper's Dock

This is an interesting photo with the keepers dock as an invitation to visit the Island.  Notice the wonderful shape of the boat to the right.  The dock extended out some distance in order to allow a safe landing.  The rocks threaten even small boats on stormy days.  Also, notice the Chantry Island Flag that is on display now in the Bruce County Museum.  In addition the Fresnel Lens shows it has a cover in daytime.  This powerful order 2 lens created a sheet of light visible for many miles over the Lake Huron at night.
